Great location, brilliant staff, fantastic food. Note to management, you need more staff. The guys here were run ragged over the weekend which did impact on service if not on enjoyment. The staff are helpful friendly and despite being run off their feet always went out of their way to help and always had a smile. The place is very pleasant and in a lovely quiet location and the decor is great. The only criticism I have apart from the lack of staff, is the there is no sound insulation in the room, so we heard every little noise from the room above and the bed was not the most comfortable I have slept in. Otherwise a great stay and would recommend a stay here.
Landed here for a change of scenery... Great events venue, not so sure if stop by in the bar again. Lots of little things letting it down... Food ok, could be hotter, limited choice of beer... Service was ok... just needs to sharpen up it's game a little.

Lovely and welcoming stay. Bed was really comfy too compared to others in the area. My stay was cut short due a football match but I would definitely return. I wished I'd gotten more time there.

The first time I've visited this pub. What a fantastic experience. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend a visit. I live 166 miles away sadly otherwise thus would definitely be my regular haunt. Fully deserves my five star rating.
Their was about 26 of us that sat down for the roast meal. It was a club run in our Triumph Stags. This was our end of a lovely run. Food was absolutely lovely. Highly recommended. Some of our cars on the green opposite

If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!
